SAP holds virtual event to accelerate the region’s transformation efforts
Attendees will gain valuable insights through keynotes and expert commentary from SAP executives covering a range of topics including finance, customer experience, digital supply chain and more
The pace of digital transformation has accelerated overnight. It has driven companies to change their business model and adapt to a new market reality - one that needs to adopt digital tools to facilitate collaboration and communication. What emerges most importantly, is the need to communicate to deliver the right message to the right audience. As customers the world over face this global pandemic, the urgency today is to deliver an effective dialogue and create communication streams so that businesses can function smoothly, albeit differently than they used to.
In this new age of online influence, it is essential to formulate a strategy that not only works for the company but benefits the customers. With a customer-first approach, SAP is hosting its digital event this year, which promises to deliver fresh insights on SAP solutions without compromising on experience or convenience. The event will take place on Tuesday, 21 April 2020 and includes keynotes from SAP executives along with the opportunity to network with product experts and partners.
This year’s digital version of the SAP Now event will cover a vast range of topics including Finance, Customer Experience, Digital Supply Chain, Human Resources and Business Technology Platform across the Public Sector, Oil & Gas, Consumer Products, Healthcare, Utilities and Retail industries.
Erdem Aksakal, head of marketing, Middle East South, SAP highlighted that the main aim of this virtual event is to provide customers with a safe and convenient way to attend an SAP event virtually -- without compromising on the experience. “We’ll have a strong blend of internal SAP executives and external thought leaders in the virtual keynote session, who will provide different perspectives to our audience.”
Digital transformation has not only impacted the way business is conducted but also transformed the demands of the customer. It includes changing the way a company interacts with its customers and providing customers with a consistent experience whenever and wherever they need it. This change is driven by customer experience, which must be an integral part of any organisation’s overall strategy. SAP has taken measures to help its customers ensure agility, control and the ability to ensure a digitally transformed business.
In these unprecedented times, virtual events are a necessity to connect and network; however, leaving it is but a click away. SAP intends to keep attendees engaged with a full agenda of keynotes and breakout sessions available at specific timings according to the schedule.
During those sessions, customers will be able to interact with the speakers and other attendees via chat during the session. In addition, there will be designated chat rooms per topic in which customers will be able to engage depending on their interests and have the opportunity to communicate 1-1 with SAP experts by chat or video call. In the conference zone, customers will be able to browse through different SAP and partner booths and get insights and content on their topics of interest that they can download at any time for future consumption.
SAP has also doubled up on its efforts to support businesses by offering several resources for free during the COVID-19 coronavirus era. “We are offering a slew of free technology tools and platforms to not only help customers deal with pandemic-related issues but anticipate the opportunities that can be leveraged to drive business growth in these difficult times. To help support businesses that are having to work remotely, SAP Litmos is offering a completely free Remote Readiness & Productivity Academy, with training content for anyone, anytime, anywhere. We’ll use this event to spread the free online training contribution,” explained Aksakal.
The current pandemic forced the world to go virtual overnight. “It is during such times that we, as contributors to our community, must strive to come closer together in battling this outbreak. With this in mind, SAP Qualtrics has launched two new free solutions: the COVID-19 Pre-Screen and Routing, a guided pre-screening questionnaire and information portal, and the Remote Work Pulse, which provides a live barometer for organisations to understand how employees are working from home,” added Aksakal.
SAP has also opened access to SAP Ariba Discovery for real-time procurement between buyers and sellers to maintain the supply chain, and to TripIt Pro from Concur to manage safe and easy travel itineraries in the face of changing travel itineraries.
