Canon unveils the C500 Mark II
Canon to release the C500 Mark 2 in the region at ON.DXB
In its journey of advocacy for a storyteller’s community, Canon Middle East has devoted its presence to the region’s content festival, ONDXB.
Running from Thursday 21st to Saturday 23rd of November, the event will be positioned towards creatives, experts and like-minded enthusiasts of film, music, video and gaming, both on and industry level and a consumer perspective.
Within its Festival Square, ONDXB will be accommodating its very own Canon Studio. The spot is for content creators that are keen to network & learn from the industry’s names such as Facebook, Instagram, Anghami, IN5 and AlFan.
Hosted by Canon academy, the workshop sessions will be spread across the first two days of the festival, bringing together speakers who will be covering industry related topics such as content filmmaking, video blogging and guerilla filmmaking.
Canon will be unveiling its C500 Mark II on day three. Synonymous with Canon’s color science the C500 Mark 2 is equipped with a 55.9K Full Frame CMOS Sensor and a newly developed DIGIC DV 7 image processor.
The camera will be showcased and launched for the first time yet in the hands of professional photographer and filmmaker David Newton over a workshop, then followed by a technical training led by Paul Atkinson. Moreover, visitors of the Canon studio will get the chance to experience the camera and the latest cinema lenses hands on. The “touch & try” zone will be located opposite to the workshop’s studio.
“We’re positioning Canon as that medium of connectivity between aspiring and established creators. We have the means to equip them, and the philosophy to inspire them to narrate their own stories” says Venkatasubramanian Hariharan, Canon Middle East, Business Unit Director.
