Two years ago, ChatGPT arrived on the scene, bringing with it a wave of excitement and anticipation. Fast forward to today, and it’s clear that this groundbreaking AI tool has had an unimaginable impact on our lives, work and industries. In this article, we hear directly from technology leaders—entrepreneurs, developers, and innovators—who share how ChatGPT has revolutionised their professional lives, boosted creativity and streamlined operations in ways they never thought possible.
Sid Bhatia, Area VP & General Manager, Middle East, Turkey & Africa at Dataiku
Honestly, ChatGPT has been a game-changer in how I manage my time and make decisions. One example that stands out is how it’s helped me work with halo indices. Instead of spending hours diving into raw data and spreadsheets, I can ask ChatGPT to summarise trends, highlight key areas for improvement and even suggest next steps. This means I can focus on the bigger picture, strategy and execution, while still staying on top of the details. It’s made me and my team far more efficient, and that’s been invaluable in such a fast-paced environment.
I think ChatGPT is going to redefine how we interact with technology and with each other. It’s already helping bridge the gap between complex AI systems and everyday users, and I see it getting even better at providing tailored, real-time insights. Imagine everyone, regardless of their technical background, being able to unlock the power of AI with just a conversation.
Beyond that, I think it will transform industries like education and healthcare by making interactions more personalised and empathetic. It’s not just about efficiency; it’s about enabling deeper, more meaningful human connections while letting AI handle the heavy lifting. That combination of human creativity and AI-powered support is where the future gets really exciting.

Over the past two years, ChatGPT has become an indispensable tool for many professionals and a handy assistant for tasks ranging from doing basic research for content generation and translating and localising documents to creating graphics and animations and analysing data sets from tools, like a spreadsheet, to identify patterns or trends.
These use cases, and so many more, bridge the gap between human creativity and AI efficiency. ChatGPT’s ability to rapidly synthesise complex information has transformed how many professionals approach tasks.
As an example, while drafting a thought leadership piece on a specific topic, ChatGPT’s capacity to analyse vast amounts of data across the entire Internet and provide structured insights can save hours of research using legacy search tools like Google or Bing. The results, while easily traceable to AI, can produce a true collaboration between human perspective and AI clarity. For any good thought leader or writer, the results are a template, a source of ideas, and still need to be articulated in the author’s own written prose, but the process of starting to write a piece has been accelerated by AI’s capabilities.
Sertan Selcuk, VP for METAP & CIS, OPSWAT
Over the past two years, ChatGPT has made a noticeable difference in how I manage my daily workload at OPSWAT. One example that stands out is how it’s helped me stay on top of internal communications. With so many emails, meeting notes, and reports to keep track of, it used to take a lot of time just to organise thoughts or summarise key points. Now, I can ask ChatGPT to draft summaries, and emails, or even help refine reports. It’s almost like having an assistant who can take the mental load off me, so I can focus on more important strategy and leadership tasks.
It’s also been a real-time save when dealing with common questions from the team. Instead of spending time answering the same queries over and over about our product or policies, I can use ChatGPT to get quick, accurate answers. This has helped streamline communication and keep things running smoothly, especially in fast-paced moments when I don’t have time to craft detailed responses. It’s made work feel less overwhelming.
Looking ahead, I think ChatGPT—and AI in general—will continue to bridge the gap between what machines can do and what humans do best. In the next two years, I see AI moving from being a tool we use to being a partner in our work. It’s not just about answering questions or automating tasks anymore; it’s about enhancing how we make decisions, solve problems, and create.
Jessica Constantinidis, Innovation Officer – EMEA, ServiceNow
AI and ChatGPT have given me a different perspective on how we could change our customers’ outcomes and values using new technology. By testing my theory anonymously on an AI platform, I get different results that might not have occurred to me before. It has broadened my understanding and view on certain topics and has been a good sparring partner to see if I am thinking of all solutions or if I am forgetting something. I use a combo of ChatGPT, Bard, Co-Pilot and others to broaden the scope of the demand and the result of the data.
Once people find the sweet spot of security, sovereignty and GDPR and we find out a way to use verbal questions for our conundrums, we will more frequently use the results of an AI tool to test our beliefs, biases and thinking patterns. As more people start to trust AI, and the more data is “checked and validated,” the more we will rely on AI to help us in our daily life. It will be a collaboration tool in our day to day life, a sanity check and mind broadening device. I am looking forward to having a PA like experience using AI to be able to help me run my life. Agentic AI will be the icing on top of the cake, allowing us to link seamlessly into any environment.
Lisa Korol, HR Manager – Middle East & Africa at Axis Communications
ChatGPT entered my life gradually, earning my trust and revealing new facets of its capabilities. I initially started using it as an alternative to Google Translate when I needed to translate work documents into the various languages of our MEA region. Then I realised it could help refine grammar and tone in emails.
Later, I discovered that it could handle more complex tasks, such as drafting communications, creating presentation outlines on specific topics, brainstorming ideas for employee training, and more. It helps to save time on some routine tasks but also can be your thinking partner when needed.
Now, I view it as a young assistant—very capable, yet still inexperienced. While I can’t trust it to make decisions on its own, I consult with it constantly. We have launched our corporate AI assistant recently, and even had a workshop on Gen AI with our employees – so definitely we’ll use it more and more.
Sascha Giese, Technical Evangelist, Observability at SolarWinds
Most of us were a bit surprised by ChatGPT’s phenomenal success and the speed at which it conquered the world. In the beginning, I thought, “Oh no, not another solution applying AI-washing.” But I soon discovered that it has actual use cases, and we all noticed the incredible speed of development, as ChatGPT advanced from generation to generation within less than two years.
In my work, tools like ChatGPT, and its friends, are handy when writing content. Being a native German speaker, using tools like these feels like having your lecturer looking over your shoulder.
Now, I’m not a coder, but part of my job is akin to a creative technical writer that has to explain relatively dry technical material in an engaging way that everyone can understand and feel entertained by at the same time. Right now, this is still a challenge for ChatGPT and its friends. But if my cats have taught me anything, it’s that this evolution is just a matter of time. Just as kittens observe the older ones and adapt their behavior, so too will AI mature; the more we use it, the more it learns from us, to a level designed to imitate us. And when we’re there, even I’ll have some anxiety!
Paul Wright, General Manager Western Europe and MENAT, AppsFlyer
Over the past two years, ChatGPT has become an indispensable part of my daily life, helping me juggle the big-picture strategy with the everyday demands of running a business. It feels like having a trusted, incredibly knowledgeable partner always ready to help. Whether it’s providing quick insights into market trends, sparking creative ideas, or simplifying complex communication, ChatGPT has made every part of my day smoother and more efficient.
For example, when tackling tricky local privacy regulations, it surfaces the key details I need to make confident, informed decisions quickly. But it’s not just about saving time — it’s about the quality of the collaboration. ChatGPT has changed how I think and work, encouraging a more fluid, dynamic process where ideas turn into actions seamlessly. It’s my go-to for brainstorming, problem-solving, and just getting things done in a way that feels smarter and more thoughtful.
Fadi Kanafani, General Manager – Middle East, SoftServe
ChatGPT has impacted the daily life of many; particularly, the ones that are in constant search of technological advancement to drive creativity, improve efficiencies, deliver faster business outcomes, etc. In business, ChatGPT has been used to develop marketing strategies, evaluate product introductions, and even write a business proposal. A specific example I have seen personally is applying the tool in customer care situation in a call centre environment. This application allows for faster time to resolution and improves customer experience.
As Ghat GPT evolves, and it is evolving rapidly, it will be great to see couple of things improve: first is the contextual memory retention. This allows for more personalised interaction with Chat GPT as it remembers the context of the conversation even after taking pause. Secondly, Chat GPT continues to lack emotion sensing and empathy. It will be great to see R&D investigate avenues for the tool to recognise certain emotions and feelings by integrating computer vision into the modelling and tonality sensing methods.

ChatGPT has rapidly transformed the way we work and live. On the personal side, it had an impact on the learning and research world by providing assistance of complex topics, explaining difficult concepts and generating creative writing on various topics. It had helped many in drafting and writing emails, generating reports and suggesting improvement in writing style and tasks. It has helped many in problem solving providing different perspectives and approaches. It was also beneficial to many individuals for language learning providing translations and engaging in converstations. So it has become a versatile tool that will enhance people’s productivity, creativity and overall efficiency in various aspects of our lives.
On the professional and work level, this technology has opened up new opportunities and challenges. It has helped many organisations automate customer inquiries, freeing up human agents to focus on more complex issues. It has also helped many organisations to accelerate innovation by helping generate ideas, analysing data and therefore improve efficiency. On the other side, this has caused potential challenges related to data security and privacy; therefore, organisations should ensure they have the right data management and governance solution in addition to data protection solutions to address these concerns.
