Dubai Municipality launches 'Safety Maze' campaign in Children's City
To educate school children on healthy rules and practices
Dubai Municipality has launched an awareness campaign for schoolchildren at the Children’s City in Dubai Creek Park under the title, "Safety Maze."
The activities of the month-long campaign will run from 7:30am to 12pm, with the aim of creating awareness among school students and educating them on the healthy practices to be followed and the wrong practices to be avoided in their daily lives, through a recreational game in the form of a maze, as one must follow the correct safety rules inside the maze to reach its exit point.
The correct safety practices in the maze game include safe swimming practices and preventive methods from drowning, fire prevention methods, sun protection and other public safety practices. This event targets all students and children from grades 1 to 9.
“Hathar,” a cartoon character designed by Dubai Municipality to promote health and safety awareness among community members, will be distributing a storybook titled “Abu Salim Family,” an awareness story for children, which includes some healthy practices and good ways to prevent hazards that may affect their health and safety.
The event is organized by Dubai Municipality to raise awareness on public safety among all categories of the society, which is part of the Municipality's strategy to build a happy and sustainable city.
