Arun Khehar, senior VP, business applications, Middle East, Africa & India.
ORACLE IS SET TO INSTALL a cloud-based data platform for the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance’s human resources department for its 6,000-strong workforce.
Speaking at GITEX Technology Week at Dubai’s World Trade Centre, Oracle’s senior vice president for business applications across the Middle East, Africa and India, Arun Khehar, said that the software would be implemented at the government-run building in the ‘coming months’.
“We’re installing an entire cloud-based application for the Abu Dhabi Department of Finance for their HR resources and investments in their own people,This ensures that their people are able to do more with less with this investment. They will be up and running in a couple of months, therefore it’s a very short high value implementation. This is a great time to be in the UAE. Our objective is to put everything on the cloud. This aligns with both companies’ plans, which is why we are investing in this. Our partnership can be extended in future depending on our joint plans.” Khehar.
Khehar also spoke about the key factors driving cloud-based applications into the Middle East and how it is generating more customers for the business.
