The EOS R5 the EOS R5 will come with a 12fps mechanical shutter 20 fps electronic shutter.

Canon announced that EOS R5, a full frame mirrorles camera will be 8K video capapble.

The camera maker intends this camera to be used by wedding and wildlife photographers. The EOS R5 includes a newly developed, in-camera image stabilisation system – which works in combination with the lens stabilisation system, so shakey images wouldn't be a concern.

It will have a crop for 4K but the EOS R5 is being developed for future proofing content for 8K. The Samsung Galaxy S20 currently shoots in 8K so it's only a matter of time before everyone jumps on board.

The EOS R5 will support automatic transfer of image files from the device to the image.canon cloud platform and will also features dual card slots.

In addition, Canon also announced the launch of the RF 24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM, the latest lens to join Canon’s RF line-up for the EOS R System. Canon is developing a total of nine RF lenses scheduled for release in 2020, including the RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM and compatible Extender RF 1.4x and Extender RF 2x.
