Canon confirms firmware update for PowerShot G5 X Mark II, EOS RP and EOS 90D

Canon confirms a future firmware update enhancing the AF performance of PowerShot G5 X Mark II, and the availability of 24p movie recording for EOS RP and EOS 90D

Following the availability of the new AF firmware update for the PowerShot G7 X Mark III, Canon announces its intention to provide the same update to the PowerShot G5 X Mark II by the end of 2019 – in response to customer feedback.

Canon has also made firmware updates that enable both 4K and Full HD 24p (23.98fps) video recording on the EOS 90D and EOS RP available. As previously communicated, these are the first in a range of cameras to which Canon plans to add this functionality.
