Honor brings a budget friendly phone

The Huawei brand offshoot has a similar camera system like Xioami and Oppo with their 48MP Triple Camera and a 6.59” HONOR FullView Display.

Smartphone, Honor 9X

The latest addition from the Chinese smartphone company the HONOR 9X brings next-generation technology at a decent price, offering some upgrades across photography, design and performance.

While Honor claims it’s a milestone in smartphone photography, the 48MP primary sensor operates similar to other smartphone phones in its class with Xioami offering more if you pay a little bit more. It features an f/1.8 aperture and ½-inch. Aware of the limitations of night photography, the AIS Super Night Mode intelligently integrates different images to produce clear and realistic images in dimly-lit environments. Powered by an advanced AI algorithm that you can find in most Huawei devices, the HONOR 9X performs a four-step procedure, removing hand jitters to form an optimal image within a second or less.

The 120° Super Wide Angle Camera supports distortion correction, the HONOR 9X offers an expected 120° Field of View. By enabling depth of field recognition technology, the 2MP depth-assist lens at f/2.4 helps create multi-dimensional photos effortlessly, delivering studio-like close-ups and portraits during spontaneous shoots.

The first HONOR device to introduce the Pop-Up Selfie Camera, seen among Oppo and OnePlus devices, the HONOR 9X offers a visual experience, taking away the distractions of the notch, something they were proud of, to achieve an screen-to-body ratio of 91% with the 6.59” HONOR FullView Display. The drop-detection mechanism signals the Pop-Up Selfie Camera to retract into the smartphone body in case of any accidental falls.

Striking a balance between appearance and practicality, the 9X has a new quirky design with an X-shaped logo on the rear is created using nanolithography, Honor describes it as “embodying the lively energy of our young audience and serving as an extension of the mysterious yet vigorous “X” ethos.” It comes in blue and black.

The Honor 9X comes equipped with a 4000mAh All-Day Battery. The battery life enables 108 hours of music playing, 22 hours of video streaming, 28 hours of 3G calls, or 10 hours of game-play.

With gaming going big for mobile, HONOR’s integrated hardware/software graphics processing acceleration technology reduces SoC power consumption by up to 10%, boosting underlying system performance to provide a seamless experience for 23 popular mobile games, including PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor and NBA 2K19 among others.
