AMD announces W5500 Radeon Pro for Workstations
AMD's RDNA architecture will be used for high demanding 2D and 3D creation applications
AMD announced the AMD Radeon Pro W5500 workstation graphics card intended for Design & Manufacturing and Architecture, Engineering & Construction professionals who work on intensive applications that would require intensive GPU power to run.
The AMD Radeon Pro W5500 graphics comes with AMD’s RDNA architecture, 7nm process technology, GDDR6 memory, PCI Express 4.0 support among other features. The Radeon Pro W5500’s strengths lie in its multitasking performance which design professional could take advantage of. It will deliver 25 percent higher performance compared to its previous generation card.
More so its software for Enterprise is what makes it valuable for its ability to scale when it comes to power management.

Nothing is more stressful than a deadline, and AMD professional graphics keep performing when you need them most,” said Scott Herkelman, corporate vice president and general manager, Radeon Technologies Group at AMD.
The AMD Radeon Pro W5500 graphics card is expected to be available from retailers beginning mid-February 2020, at $399 USD. The GPU is expected to be available in professional mobile workstations beginning in Spring 2020.
