Abu Dhabi International Airport has contracted Data Processing Systems (DPS) to work on its new terminal.

Abu Dhabi International Airport has contracted Data Processing Systems (DPS) to work on its new terminal.

Under the terms of the multi-million dollar contract, DPS will provide a range of systems for the Terminal 3 facility, which is currently under construction. These will include a flight information display system, a local departure control system, a public address and voice announcement system, a master clock system, and local area network extensions.

The only system it will not supply is the security solution, which will be sourced from another provider, Alan Bourjeily, general manager of the Aviation Engineering Division told IT Weekly.

Bourjeily did not disclose the exact value of the contract, but said it was a ‘multi-million dollar’ deal.

Completion of the construction is slated for 2008.
