Indian solutions vendor maps the way for RAK

Ras Al-Khaimah e-government authority (EGA) is deploying an enterprise geographic information system (GIS).

India’s Navayuga Spatial Technologies is working with the EGA on developing and implementing the GIS, commonly used as a navigational aid by drivers, and it is expected to go live throughout the emirate within the next 18 months.

Commenting on the agreement, Hashem Ar-Refaei, director general of the EGA and government IT advisor, said: “Many GIS solution providers bid for the project. Navayuga’s solution was chosen because it was comprehensive and developed over a detailed understanding of our requirements.”
