MobileCom selects STS to implement AlertOne

Systems integrator Specialised Technology Services (STS) has struck a deal with Jordanian telecoms provider MobileCom to implement an STS AlertOne solution.

Systems integrator Specialised Technology Services (STS) has struck a deal with Jordanian telecoms provider MobileCom to implement an STS AlertOne solution.

STS claims the solution will allow MobileCom to cash in on the growing market for bulk SMS and value-added services that operators can offer. AlertOne, which is built on Microsoft .Net technology, addresses the SMS and MMS needs of operators for bulk messaging and addition services.

The solution will offer MobileCom the high performance associated with 64-bit computing and significant cost savings, according to STS.

"Our requirements centred on a highly efficient solution that would allow us to optimally tap the potential of the bulk SMS markets," said MobileCom CEO Majd Shweikeh. "After assessing the merits of various solutions, we were persuaded that AlertOne was a cut above the rest."

"Minimising the total cost of ownership for our value-added service offerings and introducing new products for the first time in Jordan were the most important factors behind choosing STS' AlertOne," Shweikeh continued. "MobileCom has always led the way in adopting the latest technology solutions that enhance customer benefits. With the implementation of the state-of-the-art AlertOne, we now further distinguish ourselves from other telecoms providers in the region."
