EMC looks to connect with Telcos at summit

Storage giant EMC held its fourth annual regional telecoms summit in Dubai last week to present operators with its market strategy for the sector.

Storage giant EMC held its fourth annual regional telecoms summit in Dubai last week to present operators with its market strategy for the sector.

At the EMC Middle East Telecoms Summit, which took place between February 28 and March 1, the vendor discussed issues affecting the industry, conducted sessions on industry-specific information infrastructure solutions and had operators from around the region present case studies.

Mohammed Amin, EMC general manager for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), said operators in the region were facing a problem of how to manage and store an ever-expanding mass of business data and EMC wanted to ensure they had the appropriate infrastructure to support their business.

“This telecoms summit gave us an ideal forum to share our world-class solutions with our customers in the Middle East, to ensure that they are able to build their information infrastructure to support their businesses as they grow,” Amin commented at the summit.
