The Razr has returned
In the age of foldables, Motorola has just made the Razr we've wanted all along for a price
Well they've done it, Motorola has finally, officially, revealed the foldable 6.2" display Razr flip phone!
The smartphone is packed with Android 9 Pie, Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor and 6GB RAM and has a 2.7" OLED display for calls, messages and app notifications. Now the phone that's bringing a blast from the past comes with a title of having a plastic OLED display that folds horizontally as opposed to Samsung's Fold which does vertically.
Motorola have cut corners to make this happen. There's no face unlock but it does come with a USB-C port and fingerprint sensor. Initial impressions show that the fold crease doesn't appear to be seen during use. If you remember the original Razr for being snappy and just looking cool overall, you'll be happy to know that Motorla have kept that same form factor and you can answer and end calls by opening and closing the top.
The phone's packed in with features we expect from any flagship device in 2019 albeit with cuts like I mentioned that we should have seen, but Motorola isn't selling you that, it's selling you nostalgia that you can wear in your pocket. They've even gone as far as to include "Retro Razr" so you can use the old school Razr menu that we all know and love.
Here's what the Motorola Razr packs in:

So how much is it ? It's going to cost you a pretty penny, it will retail at $1,499 in January 2020. While the price tag may seem a bit steep, keep in mind that this is currently the cheapest foldable device you can get. So is it coming to the Middle East ?
“I am delighted to confirm that the device you’ve all been waiting for will be coming to the UAE." said Sharay Shams, General Manager, MBG, Emerging Markets
The UAE has been at the forefront of introducing the latest in cutting edge technology innovations in the region – so it was the obvious market of choice for Motorola to introduce this innovative new product. Just like the Motorola Razr flip-phone redefined what a mobile phone could be in the early 2000s, we’re now ready to flip your world all over again with the world’s first vertical folding display in a mobile device. The Motorola Razr is coming to the UAE. Stay tuned.” Shams added.
