Fortinet intends to secure edge networks
"The network perimeter is being replaced by new edge networks," - Fortinet regional VP, Penel regional vice president, Middle East, Fortinet.
Fortinet is reinforcing security for edge networks at today’s show. The vendor is showcasing its secure SD WAN, SD-Branch, OT and cloud security product portfolio at GITEX Technology Week 2019.
“The network perimeter is being replaced by edge networks. As data moves between multi-cloud, IoT, SD-WAN and next-gen branch offices, and mobile devices, the challenge is ensuring security and consistency between these environments,” Alain Penel, regional vice president, Middle East, Fortinet.
“At GITEX, we will further emphasise how the Fortinet Security Fabric delivers broad, integrated and automated protection across an organisation’s entire digital at tack surface from IoT to the edge, network core and multi-clouds,” Penel added.
At its stand today, Fortinet is holding live demos, where visitors can also hear from its product experts about how Fortinet products can protect their infrastructure without affecting network performance.
Fortinet’s products to be displayed on the stand include, next-generation firewall (NGFW) security, SD-WAN, advanced routing and WAN optimisation capabilities; application- and user-identity awareness, content security with integrated intrusion prevention, antivirus, web filtering, SSL encryption/decryption and advanced threat protection and remediation.
Also on the stand is the vendor’s multi-cloud security offering, designed to deliver visibility and control across cloud infrastructures, enabling secure applications and connectivity from the data centre to the cloud.
