Sharjah selected for Emitac service centre

Emitac Distribution is to open a third service centre in the UAE in the next two months, which will be located in Sharjah and focused on serving the northern emirates.

Emitac Distribution is to open a third service centre in the UAE in the next two months, which will be located in Sharjah and focused on serving the northern emirates.

The 8,000 square metre facility will act as a service centre for Acer notebooks and the full HP product line, including laser printers, notebooks and desktops.

Warranty, break-fix and maintenance services will be offered at the centre, which will also function as a spare parts hub for both resellers and end-users. Emitac operates service centres in Iran, Jordan and Qatar, as well as Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

The Sharjah centre is being established to specifically address the 60 to 70 resellers Emitac has on its radar in the northern emirates.

“The prime reason for the service centre is to serve customers in the northern Emirates, such as Sharjah, Ajman and other areas,” explained P Krisnakumar, director of customer support at Emitac. “People are not always keen on coming to the service centre in Dubai, particularly as they face traffic problems, so we thought one of the best things to do would be to put up a service centre in Sharjah that can be reachable for all the customers there.”

The centre is officially due to open in mid-April and will employ about 15 staff.
