UAE operator du is planning to offer outsourcing services to other telecom service providers, it said this week.

CEO Osman Sultan made the announcement during his keynote presentation at a specialist conference for telecom carriers, operators and service providers in Dubai.

"We intend to be the partner of choice as the telecommunications hub in the region, and a gateway for other carriers from Europe or Asia-Pacific," Sultan said in his speech at Capacity Middle East 2007.

He said du would be offering the services in partnership with European communication technology provider Interoute and through its new product, the Arena Voice Exchange on the Virtual Voice Network (VVN).

The operator plans to offer a full suite of partitioning, telehousing, bandwidth and managed services via the exchange.
