Industry veteran set to take charge at 3Com

Networking vendor 3Com has appointed Hamed Diab as its country manager for the Middle East.

Networking vendor 3Com has appointed Hamed Diab as its country manager for the Middle East.

Diab will have responsibility for managing 3Com teams, defining strategy and driving sales across the region.

Diab is well educated in the Middle East channel having spent five years at HP in a variety of positions. Prior to that he was responsible for growing Compaq's sales in Kuwait, Yemen, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.

"3Com is committed to investing in and expanding our technical resources, sales and partner management, and service and support teams in this region," said Diab.

Last year saw a number of senior executives leave the networking firm amid complaints about "restructuring" activities, including former regional boss Wael Fakharany.
