Cyberoam to target Iran

Unified threat management (UTM) vendor Cyberoam has signed up Avajang System as a distributor in Iran.

The company said it expected to gain a significant share of the Iranian market through its tie-up with Avajang.

"With this partnership Cyberoam shall attain an important share in Iran, which is emerging as a growing market for internet security appliances," commented Harish Chib, vice president of new business development at Cyberoam.

The vendor also said the partnership would give it the impetus it needed to meet a lofty target of selling more than US$1million worth of security appliances in the Middle East this year.

"At Cyberoam we are focusing on expanding exponentially in the international internet security market. The partnership with Avajang System is an important step towards this goal," Chib added.

Avajang, which is part of Iran's 300-strong Avajang ICT Group, also provides integration and consultancy services.
