Nucleus takes aim at GCC

Middle East aspirations of banking applications provider receive boost following agreement with integration firm.

Nucleus Software has signed UAE-based systems integration outfit Raqmiyat to market its FinnOne Suite solution across the GCC region.

FinnOne Suite is an integrated suite of applications designed for the banking and financial services sector. Nucleus claims that the solution automates and manages the complete application processing flow for any retail and corporate finance tool. Sushil Tyagi, VP sales MESA at Nucleus, stated: "Raqmiyat is a well-established and respected solution provider to the banking sector with over 35 regional banks as customers. Raqmiyat's market reach and relationship with the banking community, coupled with strong sectoral domain knowledge, makes it an ideal partner for Nucleus' expanding regional role."

The deal will also strengthen Raqmiyat's portfolio for the retail banking sector, which it regards as one of its core areas.

As providers constantly seek ways to reduce costs and increase productivity, the Middle East's banking sector has become a highly competitive market.

"With the addition of Nucleus solutions, we are confident that our extensive portfolio will continue to help businesses grow in the Middle East markets," commented Babu Santhanam, AVP business development for the financial solutions division at Raqmiyat - one of 75 companies that is owned by the US$1 billion a year Al Ghurair business group.
