HP and SAP cosy up over SOA
HP and SAP have expanded their partnership on SOA software and services, the companies said last week.
HP outlined that it would begin offering services to support SAP's Enterprise SOA (service-oriented architecture) strategy, as well as design and implement services to support components for the enterprise software firm's NetWeaver platform.
HP will provide support for NetWeaver components such as its portal, exchange infrastructure and business intelligence programs. Services the vendor will provide for Enterprise SOA include envisioning, assessment, governance and architecture, enablement, development, and design and implementation.
"SAP shares HP's vision of enabling businesses to adapt to change in real time," commented Stephen Rossius, senior vice president of global partner management at SAP.
"By combining HP's services with our Enterprise SOA strategy, we can help customers improve business process innovation and flexibility," he added.
