Security training firm IT Security Training & Solutions - I(TS)2 is set to hold its fourth Security Empowerment Event in Riyadh, on 5 March

Security training firm IT Security Training & Solutions - I(TS)2 is set to hold its fourth Security Empowerment Event in Riyadh, on 5 March.

The invitation-only event, to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in the Saudi capital, aims to reach around 300 IT and security professionals. I(TS)2 says it will look at the maturity of information security and the challenges around the discipline in Saudi Arabia.

"We intend on leveraging this event by expanding security awareness throughout the government, telecommunications, financial and other verticals while being a information security gateway for the Kingdom for best in class services, solutions and training," said Mohammed Al-Jeraisy, marketing manager at I(TS)2.

Security events are on the rise in the Middle East, with the I(TS)2 session followed in April by Hack In The Box; in addition, several big names in the regional security arena are said to be planning more events for the spring. Last year saw a number of security-related conferences and expos, including Hacker Halted.
