Axios sets up shop in Dubai

IT service management software firm Axios Systems has opened its regional headquarters in Dubai.

Axios said the move demonstrated its commitment to meet the Middle East's growing demands for IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and best practice standards such as ISO/IEC 2000.

The vendor said the growth in ITIL it has seen over the last 18 months was a result of changing attitudes amongst end-users combined with increased IT investment in the region.

The office opening follows a recent key customer win for Axios with Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), the largest oil and gas exploration and production company in the sultanate.

"We have built a very strong partner operation in the Middle East and recently won business in Oman, Jordan, Egypt and Qatar," added Markos Symeonides, Axios vice president of business development. "We wanted an office to support this programme and cater for the growing demand for ITIL and best practice."
