Canon Middle East

Canon Middle East is bringing in a new photography summer camp to families in Dubai called Young Story Tellers Summer Program in partnership with Gulf Photo Plus.

Sponsored by Canon Juniors Academy, the workshops will take place at Gulf Photo Plus's studios in Alserkal Avenue and the cost includes high-end Canon products that your child can take away with them in order to continue to hone their photographic skills.

The first of two workshops was aimed at children aged 10-12  and the second is for children aged between 13-15 for AED 1,950 All run for five days until the 4th of August and include a Canon DSLR and compact photo printer for all workshop participants.

Venkatasubramanian Hariharan, Business Unit Director B2C, Canon Middle East said, "Nurturing young talent is important at Canon, and we want to encourage youth to use their creativity to become great story tellers. The hope is we turn these young people into lifelong photography enthusiasts by encouraging a hobby and a passion for telling stories that will stay with them for life. With Canon's offer and our partnership with Gulf Photo Plus the children will get both the best possible equipment as well as the best possible learning opportunity."

The young photographers will learn the basics of photography on day one as well as how to use editing apps before moving on to semi manual and full manual camera modes later in the week.

They will also learn the techniques used in natural portrait photography and creative DIY portraiture. By the end of the summer camp, Canon hopes that the children will be able to express their creativity through photography, have fun through teamwork, and discover a new hobby.
