In its drive to establish a community highly aware of the risks of cyber-attacks and maintaining sustained vigilance, Dubai Electronic Security Center (DESC) will once again host its annual ‘Cyberspace Leaders' summer camp.

Now in its third edition, the camp is geared toward students aged 14 to 18. (DESC)  has set an educational programme that includes multiple sessions and workshops during the camp's one-week run, starting July 14 held at the Etisalat Academy in Dubai.

The Summer Programme is tailored to scale up community awareness as well as to introduce and hone various digital skillsets. Students will be initiated into best practices of cyber security, and trained in safe use of ethical hacking.

"One of our primary objectives is to cultivate a deeper understanding of cyber security and to create a society capable of effectively defending itself against cyberattacks. We want to build a generation equipped with the necessary technical skills and well versed in best security practices. Our workshops are designed to educate, train and prepare the younger generation for a digitally augmented future," said Hassan Abdullah, Director of Support Services at DESC.
