Honor has announced its 5G plan with the aim to provide mature 5G smartphones that meet user's expectations and needs from 5G.

According to Honor, the first 5G smartphone will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2019 which will further the company's commitment to offer features-laden and premium experience for its users. With this announcement, Honor will be among different brands to launch 5G smartphones in 2019 following the recent roll-out of 5G network technology by UAE and KSA telecom operators.

"2019 is a good year for consumers to explore 5G experiences and its applications on smartphones as well as setting their needs and expectations from it" said Chris Sunbaigong, President, Honor, MEA. "5G has been always a priority for Honor and we are working continuously to better meet today's and upcoming consumers' expectations from 5G smartphones.

Honor has experienced rapid growth globally and regionally as the company has been providing enhanced user experiences, AI Cameras, decent performances and flagship phone features to its smartphones at a more affordable offering.

In China, the Honor 20 has achieved a record-high sales performance of more than one million units sold in 14 days. The Honor 20 PRO, which is also available in China, has attained a combined sales volume of RMB 100 million during its launch.
