During the month of Ramadan, social media witnessed huge spikes in engagement as people have more downtime and as brands vie for their attention with one campaign after the other.

Facebook says Middle East users spend almost 58 million more hours on its platforms during Ramadan (5% more than usual) while Youtube experiences a 22% increase in viewership of sports videos and 30% increase when it comes to travel videos.
