A leading Medical Group with hospitals and clinics across the UAE faced the challenge of managing its access control and time management systems.

The Group had siloed systems implemented at different hospitals and clinics with no central visibility and management.

The Group turned to Bizland IT Solutions, a UAE-based IT solutions company, to upgrade its access control and time management solutions.

“We proposed Matrix time attendance and access management system, a centralised system to be implemented across their network of hospital and clinics,” explained Rahul Saharia, director at Bizland IT Solutions.

“Every employee is now registered and all their names linked with the HR systems. The HR department uses this information to process payrolls, mark late attendance, administer employee leave, register doctors working on and off duty, etc. to help them manage their human resources much better,” Saharia added.

The project took about eight months to plan, starting with a test. HR run this for a few months, ensuring all the data was being fed in properly. Satisfied with the results, the system started to be rolled out. It will eventually take 3-6 months to implement the system across all the branches.

“The hospital group wanted one centralised system for their hospital and clinics in an environment that operates round the clock,” Saharia explained.

The customer chose Matrix due to its reliability and seamless integration with their database, Saharia said. “The Matrix team on the ground team here is also very well responsive and our own IT team oversaw the entire project from start to finish,” he added.

The system is also flexible enough to be used in a demanding environment such as hospitals. For example, medical staff will have wet or soiled fingers; a higher quality access control system from Matrix that can read fingerprints even in such circumstances solved this problem, explained Saharia.

The system is also very scalable, said Saharia. “The Group can simply upgrade their licenses to multiple users, and do that seamlessly. They simply need to install the devices, register the users and link them to their database and they are done,” Saharia explained.
