One Million Arab Coders initiative adds new courses
Program expanded with new courses and features to improve professional skills development
The One Million Arab Coders initiative has added new courses and new features to create more Arab coders.
The initiative, which is led by the Dubai Future Foundation, has added courses in AI, Java programming, design thinking and two courses focused on Microsoft Azure, to increase the depth and specialization of its graduates.
The program has also been changed to offer greater flexibility and ease of access in the registration and start-up phases for participants. Students can register and begin the course directly, and can complete the course within three months, which can be extended for another three months. Participants who have completed their courses are eligible to qualify for the ‘Nano Degree' certificate, which is organized every three months.
A new evaluation system has been adopted for program participants so that they can begin a two to three-week introductory program which qualifies them to obtain a certificate of participation in the initiative. This will allow them to start one of the nine courses available and receive the selected program completion certificate, and then participants are given certificates once completing the courses offered by Microsoft or Udacity
The One Million Arab Coder initiative was launched under the umbrella of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives. The program is intended to develop professional coding skills among Arabic speakers.
