Oracle OpenWorld has come to Dubai for the first time.

Oracle OpenWorld Middle East opened today at Dubai World Trade Centre.

The two-day event will bring together over 6,000 Oracle customers and partners from the Middle East and India, to discuss the latest developments in Oracle technology.

Andrew Sutherland, Senior Vice President - Technology, EMEA and APAC, presented the opening keynote address, which focused on key advances in Oracle's product lineup, including cloud services, autonomous database, AI and cybersecurity.

Sutherland said in his speech that digital transformation presents the biggest opportunity for generations but also the biggest challenge, and that Oracle's information tools would be key to helping government leaders and CEOs to turn to their information to address the challenges they face.
