Samy says integrated security is vital.

IT security vendor Forcepoint was at GITEX Technology Week to demonstrate its human-centric security solutions.

According to the company, it promoted the full range of technologies across cloud security, network security and user and data security. In addition, the company said it is highlighted a range of technologies including user and endpoint behaviour analysis (UEBA) and insider threat.

Mahmoud Samy, area vice president, Sales and Emerging regions at Forcepoint, said: "Companies in the Middle East need to be looking at an integrated strategy across all security services."

Samy added that there is a huge challenge organisations face in managing personal data in a way that protects privacy, while still conforming to organisational policies and technologies without getting in the way of business efficiency.

"By taking a risk adaptive approach and adopting technologies such as Dynamic Data Protection, organisations can understand and model the baseline behaviour of their organisation," he said.

He noted that with initiatives like Smart Dubai being launched, the country has the vision to be an exemplary innovator in the global economy.

"The big attraction this year at GITEX was the hands-on demos of the industry's first risk-adaptive protection solution, Forcepoint Dynamic Data Protection, which the company demonstrated at the stand.
