Collins says the event provided Acer with the opportunity to thanks partners for their continued support.

PC manufacture Acer Middle East, recently held its annual ‘Acer Partner Week', during GITEX Technology Week.

The event this year was the 10th edition and  regional partners witnessed the vendor's showcase of its latest range of products, held meetings to hear from partners as well as shared business updates and outlook for the region.

"We have been making excellent strides globally and I am pleased that our Middle East numbers are in-line," said Paul Collins, MEA general manager at Acer. "The event provided us with an opportunity to thank all of our partners, who believed in our strategy and we look forward to growing together in 2019 as we introduce new and exciting products to the market."

During Partner Week, Acer and partners discussed market trends, challenges and how to overcome these and grow, and how the brand will be marketing their products in the region across the gaming, thin and light, education and commercial product segments.

Acer also utilised the event to display the full range of products including new products, which allowed partners to get a hands-on experience. The products that were promoted during the event include: Acer Swift 5 - the lightest 15.6-inch notebook, the company claimed.

Designed for customers who want an envy-inducing PC, the Swift 5 (SF515-51T) delivers exceptional performance in an elegant chassis that weighs less than one kilogram (990 g/2.2 pounds). The Acer Swift 5 will be available in MEA in Q1 2019, starting at AED 4,699.
