Asbis Middle East promotes complete portfolio
VAD to educate channel partner and end user on its portfolio offerings and outline the roadmap for the year ahead
Regional VAD Asbis Middle East has said it is participating at the 38th edition of GITEX Technology Week, where it will promote its end-to-end solutions offerings.
According to the distributor, this year's participation alongside the region's biggest ICT expo, sees it host a range of one-to-one meeting with the vendor and partner community.
In addition, Asbis, said it will promoting its complete product and solutions portfolio comprising Printing and Managed Printing Services, Volume Division and the Solutions Business Unit.
Hesham Tantawi, vice president, Asbis Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META), said: "GITEX is an important marketing event for Asbis where we can communicate with channel partners and their customers from all over the world in an environment that makes them aware of our latest products and offerings."
Tantawi said the show gives the company the opportunity of enhancing Asbis' market reach and products portfolio.
He said the company has decided to take special meeting rooms within the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) to give channel partners, their end user customers and vendors the opportunity to engage each other and get an understanding from the market on various issues including challenges and successes. "While we will be present at stands of our vendor partners including Toshiba, Logitech, Supermicro and Western Digital, we have decided to have a tailored face-to-face meetings approach where partners have already confirmed which vendors they would like to meet during GITEX," he said.
Tantawi said Asbis will be showcasing latest products from vendor partners including Intel, AMD, Sapphire, Lexmark, Grandstream, Logitech, Spermicro, Western Digital, Seagate, Toshiba, AOC and others. "In addition, our focus is also to promote gaming products, as we see high potential in the market," he said. "We will also display a special gaming zone to deliver a strong statement that we are well prepared for the high demand of these solutions in this segment."
He said part of the company GITEX agenda this year will be to educate channel partners and end user customers on the company's product portfolio, business roadmap and how this plan fits into the existing products and solutions with Asbis' stable.
Hesham added that in the last 12 months, Asbis' Solutions Business Unit has continued to gain a lot of acceptance and won hundreds of projects in the hospitality, education, enterprise, government and retail sector.
"We are encouraged by the inroads our channel partners have been having with our solutions business in the market," he said. "During GITEX, we are always keen to receive feedback from customers and channel partners in areas where the company needs to improve."
Tantawi explained that one of Asbis strength and reasons for its longevity in the MENA market can be traced to the seriousness the company puts in training, certifying and incentivising channel partners for investing in training.
"We conduct regular training sessions with our vendor partners at our offices in Dubai or vendor premises to impart both technical and pre-sales training. In addition, we help partners with proof of concepts (PoC) to ensure they understand and can replicate customer environments before implementing a solution," he said. "We have strongly advocated that partners should take a lead in developing local markets, vertical and domain expertise. This cannot be achieved if partners are poorly equipped."
