China-headquartered maker of data communication products, Ruijie Networks Ltd, has appointed William Zhang as the new regional sales director for the Middle East and Africa (MEA).

In the new role, Zhang will be in charge of all Ruijie's sales operations across MEA, including formulating market development strategies, establishing and consolidating the channel partner network base and cementing the regional footprint from the UAE.

Zhang said he is delighted to have been given this responsibility to grow Ruijie's business in MEA. "Top of the agenda for me is to explore effective go-to-market strategies, especially in industries like education, hospitality and IP surveillance," he said. "In addition, I will be rolling out initiatives that are aimed at strengthening the channel ecosystem in this broad geography."

Zhang has been with Ruijie Networks for two years prior to being named the regional sales director for MEA and before that, he had the opportunity to work at Tenda.

Founded in 2000, Ruijie is a global supplier of data communication solutions.

Zhang added: "We have been committed to continuous innovation in our base products and solutions. We have also laid significant emphasis on working closely with our channel partners."

He added that considering all these factors, channel partners in MEA will benefit a lot from the company's competitive products. "In addition, they will receive great support from our mutually beneficial channel policy," he said.
