Startup makes light of mobile device repair
Fixerman uses solar-powered van to carry out mobile gadget repair at customer's location.
A start-up wants to take the hassle out of mobile device repair.
Fixerman is a mobile device repair service based in Dubai that repairs broken gadgets at the customers’ doorstep.
The backers behind the venture have converted a van into a fully-fledged workshop on wheels, capable of conducting phone, tablet and laptop repairs and other services at the remote location of the customer.
What’s more, the van, dubbed the FixerVan, has been retrofitted with solar panels on the roof, meaning all repair operations are carried out using clean energy.
The repairs meet Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) standards, while all off Fixerman's equipment is ESD Compliant to ensure the safety of the devices being fixed.
In addition to the van, Fixerman also maintains a fully-equipped lab in Business Bay. The company says all its certified technicians come with minimum of two years of relevant training and five years of experience, which enables Fixerman to guarantee two years warranty on repairs.
