HMD Global's new Nokia 2.1 runs Android Oreo Go edition.

The new Nokia 2.1 smartphone will be available in the UAE from 8th August, at a price of AED 389.

The affordable smartphone features include a two-day battery life, 5.5 inch HD screen and native Google Android.

The new phone, from HMD Global, adds to the company's portfolio of Nokia Android smartphones that have been launched in recent months.

The Nokia 2.1 runs Android Oreo Go edition, designed for smartphones with 1GB RAM, and the Android One standard, for better and more secure performance. An upgraded Qualcomm Snapdragon 425, 64-bit Mobile Platform gives fans the 50% faster and smoother performance

The phone has a 4,000mAh battery, with fast charging and a two-day battery life. The handset includes Nokia 2.1's 5MP front-facing and 8MP rear camera with auto focus, and dual front-facing stereo speakers.

The phone features ‘Nordic design and metallic accents', with rounded ergonomic design and coloured polycarbonate back. The phone will be available in in three metallic colours: Blue/Copper, Blue/Silver and Grey/Silver.
