Organisations require security solutions that can match the shifting nature of their workloads, says Maddison.

Fortinet has expanded its Fortinet Security Fabric offerings on Google Cloud Platform, to enable customers to protect the expanded attack surface of hybrid cloud environments.

The security specialist has added new capabilities to its next-generation firewall on Google cloud, to include additional layers of security and management.

Fabric Connectors are now available on Google Cloud Platform, allowing organizations to apply consistent policies across multiple instances with one-click integration.

Fortinet says that its solutions have improved integration of all of its security offerings whether en premise or in the cloud, to extend protection across multiple environments, with combinations of products such as FortiGate and FortiWeb enabling customers to develop a unified set of policies for a consistent security posture across platforms.

"As enterprise infrastructures evolve to include cloud, organisations want to make sure their elected security platforms can move with them," said John Maddison, senior vice president of products and solutions at Fortinet. "Fortinet is ensuring Google Cloud Platform customers have full access to the Fortinet Security Fabric, giving security architects flexibility on where and when they want to deploy security controls."
