HMD Global adds two new phones to Nokia lineup

HMD Global has announced details of two new phones for its Nokia Android smartphone line-up.

The new Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 will run native Android, with Android One for better storage, battery life and security.

The Nokia 5.1 is built with a single block of 6000 series aluminium, machined to a satin finish. It has a 0.3-inch bigger display in a 2mm narrower body than previous editions, with a 5.5-inch Full HD+ display in 18:9 aspect ratio.

The handset runs on a 2.0 GHz MediaTek Helio P18 octa-core processor, with 40% faster performance than the previous generation. The phone has 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.

The phone also includes 16MP rear camera with phase detection auto-focus and wide-angle front camera, and rear side fingerprint sensor for easier operation.

The Nokia 5.1 will be available in Copper, Tempered Blue and Black from 26th July at a price of AED 689.

The Nokia 3.1 is an 18:9 smartphone with 5.2-inch HD+ 2.5D curved display with Corning Gorilla Glass.

The Nokia 3.1 runs MediaTek 6750, an octa-core chipset, giving you twice the processor cores and a 50% performance boost on the previous generation. It also features an upgraded 13MP main camera with auto focus

The new Nokia 3.1 will come in three colours: Blue/Copper, Black/Chrome and White/Iron; two RAM/storage options: 2GB/16GB, 3GB/32GB, and will be available starting 21st June 2018 at a price of AED 519 (2GB/16 GB) and AED 619 (3 GB/32 GB).
