Juniper opens door for EMEA businesses to innovate
PoC Lab and OpenLab provide space for customers to develop, test solutions before deployment
A pair of Juniper Networks’ facilities at the company’s Amsterdam offices is helping its customers explore and test solutions in a safe, state-of-the-art technical environment.
The Juniper Networks’ Proof of Concept (PoC) Lab avails a catalogue of Juniper’s solutions, including its latest hardware and software technologies, supported by advanced testing environments. The PoC Lab enables Juniper’s customers to develop and test solutions in a risk-free yet realistic pre-production setting.
The EMEA Proof of Concept team is part of the global sales demonstration services organisation. The team is staffed with dedicated Proof of Concept Lab engineers. The team supports testing at its main location in Amsterdam, as well as sales labs throughout EMEA.
The Amsterdam location supported more than 3,000 visitors in 2017, and had 30% increase in the first half of 2018, the company says. The Proof of Concept Lab currently supports multiple Juniper programs that include Juniper Cloud Labs (JCL). JCL enables instant access to tools that enable customers to build tailored cloud environments for customer’s specific needs.
Since 2016, Amsterdam has also been an OpenLab location. Juniper customers and partners, as well as educators, students and start-ups can use the OpenLab to refine, develop, test, demonstrate, and validate solutions that harness network intelligence and automation capabilities.
As an OpenLab location, Juniper’s Amsterdam facility delivers various network and skills development programs, such as learning series solution sessions and various hands-on educational workshops and competitions called ‘throwdowns’. These activities are designed to help customers and partners take advantage of emerging technologies to enhance their networks and increase their skills in building, operating, protecting and maintaining their business-critical networks and services.
The technical labs are co-located with Juniper’s EMEA Executive Briefing Centre (EBC), a space built to accommodate customer briefings, training and events. Customers can connect to the test environment locally or remotely to perform or observe testing. The replication of real networks and future designs alike can involve testing integrations with customers’ existing platforms.
