Lastline tackles advanced malware threats
Cyber security company plans to bring more content on the its channel portal to educate partners in the region
Cyber security company and breach detection platform provider, Lastline, has said it used its participation at the Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) 2018, to present the recently launched product, Lastline Breach Defender.
According to the company, the latest technology offering expands on the existing Lastline Enterprise advanced malware detection solutions, which provide visibility into the presence of malware on a corporate network and how to efficiently and completely remediate it.
Steve Sharbach, vice president, Global Channel Sales at Lastline, said: "We took the opportunity to present our recently announced product, Lastline Breach Defender at GISEC. This technology expands on our existing Lastline Enterprise advanced malware detection product to provide visibility into the presence of malware on an organisation's network and how to effectively remediate it."
Sharbach said during GISEC, Lastline together with distribution partner Bulwark Technologies demonstrated how its products and services provide unparalleled protection against malware attacks. "Combined with our Global Threat Intelligence Network, we are providing Middle Eastern customers actionable intelligence on malware and network breaches that increases the security posture quickly and economically," he explained.
He pointed out that Lastline continues to experience very high growth, increasing revenue by approximately 80% in 2017 over 2016. "This was achieved in part by our successful Series C round of funding in 2017 in which raised $28.5m to specifically fuel growth," he said.
Sharbach reiterated that Lastline sees the Middle Eastern market for malware protection as a strategic move to address cybersecurity issues. "As cyber attacks get more sophisticated and more focused on specific regions we are well positioned to assist companies and government agencies to mitigate security risks," he said. "By participating in GISEC 2018, we demonstrated and displayed our technology at the Bulwark stand and this was important for us given the significant market interest in our technology offerings.
Looking ahead, Sharbach said Lastline's channel programme is maturing quarter over quarter and in the second half of 2018, the company will have more content on the portal to educate partners, expand the company's reach to new partners, and demonstrate how Lastline can be integrated into complementary solutions to further improve a customers' security posture.
