Twitter has warned its users to change passwords, after a bug meant that Twitter employees were able to see the passwords in plain text.
The social media platform has warned its 330 million users to change their passwords out of caution.
The company said there is no evidence that staff abused the passwords. A flaw in encoding meant that passwords were visible to some internal staff before they were disguised. The flaw had persisted for several months.
