Microsoft launches Surface laptop in UAE
Company also announces availability of Surface Pro with LTE, targeting corporate customers
Microsoft has availed the Surface laptop in the UAE.
Powered by Windows 10, the Surface Laptop weighs in at only 1.25kgs, measures 14.47mm at its thickest point and comes with a 7th-generation Intel Core processor and more battery power, allowing 14.5 continuous hours of video playback. Memory options extend to 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD storage.
It also features a 13.5-inch PixelSense Display with edge-to-edge Corning Gorilla Glass 3. Its thin LCD touch screen display features 3.4m pixels, each colour-calibrated for a more vibrant, viewing experience. The Alcantara-coated keyboard comes with a soft palm for more comfortable typing. The device comes in an array of colours and finishes including platinum, graphite gold, cobalt blue and burgundy.
Microsoft also announced the availability of Surface Pro with LTE Advanced, with a CAT-9 modem that’s ranked as one of the fastest LTE-enabled connectivity modules in the market. The LTE Advanced system supports 20 LTE bands and cellular connectivity providing connectivity options beyond the inherently insecure Wi-Fi.
The Pro comes with 12.5 hours of battery life.
Both models will start selling on 15th March with prices starting at AED 4,199 for the Surface Laptop, and AED 4,507 for the Surface Pro LTE.
