Abu Dhabi City Municipality unveils three smart apps
The launch was during the Concepts and Innovations Forum
During UAE Innovation month, Abu Dhabi City Municipality unveiled three smart apps to improve customer services.
The launch took place during the Concepts and Innovations Forum where Saif Bader Al Qubaisi, ADM director-general announced the Capital Guide, Capital Children Guide, and Capital Buildings Guide applications.
The Capital Buildings App has been designed to enable ‘users to explore and watch 3D buildings interior and exterior in a virtual tour. The owner can subscribe to the platform, upload building layout, and make changes to colours, doors, windows and furniture,' said Mustafa Almasawi Alhashmi, director of Spatial Data at ADM.
Alhashmi further revealed that the Capital Smart App offers GPS dedicated for indoor routes inside the premises, where users can use their smartphones for directions, which will facilitate finding destinations and exploring places inside the buildings. It ca be used within municipal centres, shopping centres, hospitals, airports, exhibitions, museums, and universities.
The third app, Capital Children Guide, is to protect children and keep them safe. It allows users to locate them inside and outside the buildings when connected to the Capital guide Platform. Parents will be required to enter the code of the child in the system which will then activate the tracking feature.
