Finovate Middle East to take place on February 26-27 in Dubai
The event will discuss financial inclusion and emerging technologies
Over 400 fintech experts will gather in Dubai on February 26 and 27 to showcase the latest products in the sector and help boost the UAE's image as an international hub for the market.
FinovateMiddleEast, held in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Finance, will take place at the Madinat Jumeirah Conference Centre.
The event will bring together early-stage startups, established companies, media, financial service institutions and funders.
It will explore three principal areas: financial inclusion, emerging technologies (application of AI and blockchain technology) and how banks and fintechs can work better together.
Other topics include a case study on an inter-bank blockchain pilot featuring India and the UAE, how to reap the benefits of the changing environment in banking, how Malaysia is building a cryptocurrency and how banks and fintechs are working together in India.
Companies taking part include those from the UAE, UK, Australia, China, India, Malaysia and more.
Keynote speakers will include Ruth Wandhofer, MD, global head regulatory and market strategy, Citi; Mike Cunningham, CEO, Clearly; Bryan Stirewalt, MD, supervision, DFSA; and Sameer Singh Jaini, Fintech Asia top 100 influencer and CEO, Digital Fifth.
