GBM names new GM for Kuwait
Seliman will be responsible for maintaining GBM Kuwait's customer relationships.

IT solutions provider Gulf Business Machines (GBM) has appointed Wassim Seliman as general manager of the company's Kuwait business, effective January 2018.

In his new role, Seliman will be responsible for maintaining GBM Kuwait's customer relationships, the growth of local business, as well as enhancing skills development of the company's employees in Kuwait.

Martin Tarr, CEO of GBM, stated: "We are very excited to welcome Wassim to our core leadership team. One of our most esteemed team members, Wassim has been with the company for over 15 years. We are confident that he will continue to build our business in Kuwait, while keeping in line with our new strategy of becoming the leading regional Hybrid Cloud and Digital Solutions Partner."

Seliman who has 28 years industry experience, joined GBM in 2003 as an account manager. Since then, he has occupied a variety of roles, including government market director, a position that saw him manage GBM Kuwait's portfolio of government projects and client relationships. More recently in April 2017, Seliman served as acting general manager of the GBM Kuwait office, which has grown under his leadership.

Seliman holds a Bachelor of Science in electronic and communication engineering and a degree in Planning and Strategy from London Business School. He is also a Baltimore-certified security PKI Engineer, and has received an ITIL Basic Foundation Certification.
