QNAP highlights QVR Pro at Intersec 2018
Storage solutions vendor touts NAS video surveillance system and storage software solution
Network attached storage (NAS) solutions vendor QNAP, utilised its third participation at Intersec 2018 last month to showcase its QVR Pro, a professional NAS video surveillance system and storage software solution.
According to the NAS solutions maker, during Intersec it demonstrated well-rounded surveillance solutions to channel partners catering to enterprises, SMBs and SOHO users, including the cutting-edge QVR Pro video surveillance system.
"QNAP is constantly innovating new open platform solutions and features to provide complete surveillance offerings that fulfil versatile requirements for a wide range of industries, businesses and home environments," said Montaha Huang, Middle East territory manager, APAC Business Division at QNAP.
Huang said QVR Pro integrates comprehensive video surveillance features into QNAP NAS, ensuring a recording environment separated from QTS, storage expandability, and flexible storage space management functions. "The optimised QVR Pro Client software consolidates live monitoring with speedy playback functionality in a single view, providing a simplified monitoring mode and enhanced user experience," she said.
She explained that because QVR Pro supports Windows, Mac OS and QNAP HD Station, the solution provides a unified monitoring view for cross-platform users. "The new QVR Pro Client software simplifies surveillance workflows and enables user-defined rules to manage recording," she said.
Huang added that during Intersec, the company was able to interact with channel partners and their end user customers, get some valuable feedback from them. "Being at this specialised security and safety trade show, it was important for us to highlight the solutions that enterprises, SMBs and SOHO customers are aware of the broad surveillance portfolio offerings from us," she said.
Huang pointed out that QNAP is helping end user customers to have enhanced experiences using its products because they are designed using open platform technology. "QVR Pro has overhauled the traditional surveillance system design and offers an integrated monitoring mode that covers both live view and playback," she said. Huang said because QVR Pro ensures an independent operating environment for surveillance recording, separated storage space, and versatile storage management functions from QTS, it supports customised storage expansion deployment and volume management, enhancing surveillance data safety and NAS data storage efficiency.
