The Prayer Times feature enables users to reach out to nearest mosques

Huawei adds prayer time feature to smartphones
Huawei released its Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro late last year.

Huawei Consumer Business Group has launched a Prayer Time feature to remind its smartphone owners linked to the prayer time in Saudi Arabia.

The new feature which has been released with Huawei's user interface, EMUI 8.0, aims to offer benefits and services to the Saudi community and will remind users of the prayer times in whichever city they are living in using GPS.

If the alarm is turned on, the alarm application activates the alarms of the five prayer times by default, disables the sunrise and sunset alarms, and the user can activate and disable alerts at any time. Additionally the feature will also identify the nearest mosques equipped with a shortcut function and it will update users with accurate information linked to the official calendar.

Earlier this week, Huawei also unveiled its Safe Campus suite, an end-to-end ICT solution that features video cloud and intelligent video surveillance technologies. The system has been designed for urban environments and facilities such as offices, schools, hotels and mosques, which supports incident prevention, emergency response, and evidence collection.
