Instagram has unveiled two new features.

Instagram has announced the roll out of two new features that enables users to privately archive their favourite stories, as well as share them with others.

The first feature is ‘Stories Highlights', an entirely new space on a user's profile where they can package together their favourite highlights and the number of highlights that can be added are unlimited. The highlights appear as a horizontal scroll bar above the photo grid on the profile page. The new addition offers users the ability to customise and self-express themselves.

The second feature is dubbed ‘Stories Archive', enabling a user to archive favourite stories privately. The feature also enables users to re-post existing stories and add them into the Stories Highlights feature.

When the features are available, users will see a notification within their account. Instagram won't begin saving stories until that notification appears, and it will also offer a link to opt out.
