The latest device launch by Motorola highlights not only two new devices, but also its growing Moto Mods ecosystem.

Motorola Mobility, a division of Lenovo, has launched the Moto Z2 family of phones in the UAE, the Moto Z2 Play and Moto Z2 Force. Also showcased at launch were a trio of Moto Mods-the Moto 360 Camera, the Moto GamePad and TurboPower battery pack.

Moto Z2 Play

The second generation Moto Z2 Play comes in a thinner, lighter design and faster performance, wrapped in an all-metal unibody design. The screen is a 5.5” Full HD Super AMOLED display promising sharp image details. Motorola promises 30 hours of battery life with the Z2 as well as fast charging technology that delivers up to eight hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging. It is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core processor.

The Moto Z2 also gets updated camera features, with the combination of laser autofocus and dual autofocus pixel technology enabling brighter, sharper photos, even in low light conditions. The next generation laser autofocus has an expanded range of up to 5 meters, so users can focus on objects 3 times further in a virtually dark environment. Users can also take better selfies with the 5MP front camera and dual colour corrected flash.

Moto Z2 Play comes with Moto Experiences tool kit. The Night Display feature automatically adjusts the screen to warmer tones at night, reducing the blue light that can disrupt your sleep. And the new instant queries in Moto Voice will provide helpful information like weather or calendar updates, or automatically launch an application without having to touch or unlock your phone. With a redesigned fingerprint reader, users can activate one button navigation to quickly move through screens.

Moto Z2 Force

The new Moto Z2 Force Edition features a 5.5” Quad HD AMOLED screen that’s guaranteed not to crack or shatter.

The slim, all-metal design launches with dual 12MP cameras. Two cameras mean twice the focus. The dual 12MP cameras, one monochrome and one colour, work together to capture high quality images which also lets users to add a blur effect to the background or foreground and capture true depth of field.

The battery allows for all day operations between charges, and when it is time for a boost, can add 8 hours of power in just minutes with TurboPower charging. The device runs on the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Mobile Platform.

Just like Moto Z2 Play, the Moto Z2 Force Edition features the latest Moto Experiences including night display and instant queries in Moto Voice and the front fingerprint reader.

Moto Mods

The newly launched phones are compatible with Moto Mods, attachments that instantly add a 360° camera, gaming console, large capacity battery and more with a simple snap.

With the new 360 Camera Moto Mod onto any Moto Z device turns it into a 360-degree camera that can record interactive 360-degree 4k video featuring 3D audio that follows the direction of view. Advanced editing software allows users to adjust content to fit their needs, and once they’re ready to be viewed, photos and videos can be shared with friends and on social media right from the Google Photos app.

The Moto GamePad transforms the Moto Z into a handheld gaming console in a simple snap. It features dual control sticks, D-pad and four action buttons for a true-to-life gaming experience. The GamePad has its own inbuilt 1035mAh built-in battery, avoiding to drain the phone battery.

The Moto TurboPower Pack adds an extra day of battery life and also features fast charge technology. The power pack itself be charged up to 50% of capacity in just 20 minutes.
