The two firms to develop digitalisation solutions built around the cloud and IoT

The alliance will match STC’s network and nationwide coverage with Tech Mahindra’s expertise in latest technologies.

Saudi Telecom Company (STC) and Tech Mahindra are to jointly roll out joint services to support Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

Through its enterprise focused business unit, STC Business, the Saudi telco will work with the ICT solutions provider to develop digitalisation solutions, built around the Cloud and IoT.  These services will support future Smart City and industry specific needs in the public and private sector covering sectors such as health, oil & gas and transportation among others.

The alliance will match STC’s cloud and IoT platforms, its national backbone, and the reach and penetration of its fixed and mobile networks, with Tech Mahindra’s expertise in technologies such as IoT, Big Data & analytics, machine learning and robotic process automation (RPA) among others.

As a part of the Vision 2030, the KSA is looking at making the kingdom a global model of excellence by diversifying its economy and developing public sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, recreation, and tourism. An aspiring ICT leader with robust technology infrastructure and strong footprint in the region, STC is a key implementation partner for Vision 2030.

“Digitisation is key to the success of Vision 2030’s transformation objectives, which is why we are partnering with Tech Mahindra to innovate around the cloud and IoT, and encourage innovation across the eco-system with the solutions and usage cases we develop together,” said STC senior vice president of enterprise, Dr. Tarig M. Enaya.

Tech Mahindra will also undertake knowledge transfer activities, aimed at creating jobs for experienced Saudi ICT professionals by providing the youth with high quality technical training, he added.
